hi, welcome to gaia
after seven years at girt, we're moving. taking a leap, we've
bought a limestone, wood and iron passive solar house near fremantle. it's
always been my goal to live down that way, and on a blue moon in august we made
an offer.
the royal we is rizla, mousebag and the cat, figjam.
ranga (also
known as red) and thingy have moved into a flat of their own.
we built girt in late 1997, and the old website recorded how it grew from a block of local bush into our home.
over the time we lived there, we saw the urban bushland shrink then all but
disappear as the suburbs sprawled north of perth.
time to move on.

the scottish adventure
ranga went to scotland! she was there from november 2003 to february 2004.
while it's old news now, i've left the pages up just for the hell of it, until
we have something else to replace it. news and pics are

confluencing
slightly nerdy hobby - the degree confluence project involves going out and finding where whole degrees of latitude and longitude meet, taking photos, writing a blurb and posting the visit on
the dcp website. it's had a lot of interest this year, and i've contributed to a
lonely planet book on experimental travel (due out in april 2005) and the oz
bulletin's summer reading feature.
find out more about the project at...

work
i work for our state government environmental agency, in communications,
publications and information.
it's challenging, interesting, and i love it, despite the stress and politics
inherent in government agencies. see what we do...
